Hip Hop subcultures can be defined as a cultural movement which began after the Civil Rights movement halted, one whose birthday is November 12th, 1974. Hip hop began as a way to empower a generation of African Americans to be better, stand up and stop the violence, it was a force aimed at transforming the conditions of oppressed people, the Black People. Characterized by four major elements it consisted of the beginning of DJing, eMCeeing (also known as rapping) , graffiti and break dancing and now has turned into much more complex generation that are all too gun savvy, hard core thugs, want to be drug dealers and very sexually submissive aka Pimps, Hoes, Bitches and Niggas/Thugs. Women are perceived as sex objects that live their life to a motto of “It ain’t trickin’ if ya got it,” while shaking their ass every step of the way with their girlfriend on the side for him and him whole crew. Making it seem as though selling drugs is the only way to make money and killing people as an everyday way of life in order to get by. All the mean time our children are still listening, cheering and singing along while they all get Wasted...“rock star, lifestyle, might don’t make it; living life high everyday clique wasted; sippin on purple stuff, rollin up stanky; wake in the morning, 10 o'clock drinkin; party, party, party, lets all get wasted; shake it for me baby girl do it butt-naked; I’m so wasted, she so wasted; tell the bartender send me 20 mo cases,” now isn't that something to think about. We have seem to have said good bye to the good old days of turn tables and microphones and hello to guns, drugs, sex and violence, it is a proven fact, Sex and Violence sells. |
